Whoa! So much sunshine, yet so cold out there still. The snowdrops are still blooming, and the daffys and narcissus have popped up about 3 inches. We will surely have at least one more snow and they will get blasted. Had to take a bat out of a friend’s garden yesterday. She was mucking around, taking some of the leaves off, tidying up and getting some fresh air when he/she popped up and scared her witless. This apparently was one of the red bats (more info here) that find winter protection in leaf litter. Off with it to a new home in a nearby park!
