If you give them plenty of love, the re-potting day will come sooner rather than later. Re-Potting Houseplants is easy. It&#8217;s not rocket science. And, you can do so any time of the year. When you repot your plants, they will reward you with faster, more lush growth.<\/p><p align=\"left\">When selecting new pots and containers, go up a size or two (an inch or two more in diameter). In most cases, specially formulated soils are not necessary.<\/p><p align=\"left\">Fill a little potting soil into the bottom of the new container. Estimate an amount so the plant will be as deep in the soil, as it was in the old pot.<\/p><p align=\"left\">Carefully, remove the plant from the old pot or container. It often helps to take a knife and slide it along the inside of the pot. This is the drainage layer.<\/p><\/li><li><p align=\"Left\">Add a thin layer of charcoal granules, to keep odors from developing.<\/p><\/li><li><p align=\"Left\">Add a layer of Sphagnum Moss.
